A little Christmas ELf fun…Making a hopscotch board for the Elf!

Every year, I get so excited when December comes around - but then the realization hits me quick. The dreaded ELF needs to comes back and I have to remember every single night to put it somewhere fun and exciting (or else, my kids will be horribly disappointed….and it will all be my fault! #momlife at it's best!)

Either way, I'm sure you get the struggle. So, I thought it'd put my Glowforge to extra good use and craft up something for our beloved elf (his name is Twinkle - although, it changes every year because my kids keeps changing their minds.)

We're making a hopscotch board for the elf and I've added some cute elf foot prints on it too! We'll talk a little on how I use the pen tool to draw out these footprints, and my all time favorite tool in Illustrator - the smooth tool (wow, this makes me sound like a super nerd..) Also, I'm using a single line font in this tutorial for the numbers (see below for a link for where I purchased it.) These are a game changer when it comes to quickly scoring for your laser projects. Trust me!

Tools we talk about in this tutorial: pen tool and the smooth tool and creating an offset path.
